"There were these three trees, and when they were planted they each wished on a star. The first tree wished that it could grow big and strong so that it could be made into a treasure chest. The second tree wished that it could grow big and strong so it could be made into a ship. And the third tree wished that it could grow really tall so that it could always look towards heaven. The trees grew and grew. They became the size they wanted and now just wanted to be turned into those things they had wished for. One day some lumber jacks came into the forest. They saw the first tree, wanted it and cut it down. They also saw the second and third tree and wanted them, so they cut them down as well. They started working with the first tree and was making him into a box. He was so happy, he was finally going to be made into a treasure chest. But then they started putting food in him for the animals...he was only made into a trough. Then they started working on the second tree by the shore. The second tree was so excited to be able to be made into a ship. But then the workers realized that his wood was really weak, and all they could make out of him was a tiny row boat. Then they started working on the third tree. All they did to him was cut him into slabs of wood and stored him in a building. All of the trees were so disappointed that they didn't get their wish. But then one night there was a fourth star. They took the food out of the trough and laid a little baby in it. He realized while he may not be a treasure chest, he was holding the most precious gift ever...the Savior. One night the little boat was out on the sea and there was a big storm. The little boat thought that he was going to die because there was no way he could survive the waves. Then he heard someone telling the waves to be at peace, and the water was calm. He realized he may not be a great ship, but he was carrying the King of Kings. Then one day, the third tree was taken out of storage. Someone was nailed to him, and then they lifted him up. He was in a place where he could always face the heavens. Now, whenever anyone looks at the third tree, they are reminded of Christ."
